Leather products are made from by-products of meat that would normally be discarded, but we came up with the idea of ​​creating Original Leather Miyako, with the idea of ​​locally produced, locally consumed leather in our hometown of Kyoto.

However, because the priority is on raising the animals for meat, it was more difficult than expected to create locally produced leather products, and it took a lot of trial and error with the help of many collaborators before we were able to finally complete this leather.

The leather is tanned with a hybrid of natural tannin and chrome (scientific) and is rich in oil, allowing it to age beautifully.

Scratches may be noticeable at first, but as the leather contains plenty of tannins and oils, they will gradually become less noticeable as the leather develops its natural color and luster with each use.
