Miyako Leather - Small Long Wallet

Leather products are originally made using by-products of meat production that would otherwise be discarded. With the idea that it would be great if we could achieve local production and consumption in our local Kyoto, we planned the "Original Leather Capital" project. However, because the animals are raised primarily for meat, realizing local production and consumption of leather products proved to be more difficult than expected. After much trial and error with many collaborators, we finally completed this leather.

This leather is finished (tanned) with a hybrid of tannin (natural) and chrome (chemical), and is then thoroughly saturated with oil, allowing you to enjoy its changes over time.

Scratches may be a little more noticeable at first, but because the leather is rich in tannins and oils, it will develop a beautiful color and shine with each use, making the scratches less noticeable.
